What We Are Interested In

Are you passionate about exploring language through empirical data and computational methods? Our lab is actively seeking motivated Ph.D. and Master’s students to join our research team.

We focus on quantitative approaches to linguistic analysis and language processing, investigating language structure and usage across several key areas:

• Prosody: Analyzing prosodic patterns in spontaneous speech production.
• Lexical and Grammatical Analysis: Examining how morphosyntactic constructions develop meaning through contextual use.
• Socio-Pragmatic Dynamics: Investigating how social context, pragmatic intent, and interactional factors shape language use.

Our work emphasizes methodological rigor. We combine corpus-based frameworks, statistical modeling, and modern Large Language Models (LLMs) to uncover patterns in large-scale linguistic data.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome students with a background or strong interest in corpus linguistics, computational linguistics, data science, or related fields. Driven by a solid quantitative approach, students in our lab investigate topics ranging from phonetics, syntax, and semantics to pragmatic phenomena. Whether your interests lean toward theoretical insights or applied computational models, our lab provides a collaborative environment to conduct impactful research.
